Corn Varieties
Corn is an essential crop to grow in your garden, whether for decoration, popcorn, grain or sweet corn. Saving your own seeds ensures that the heirloom varieties that are adapted to your local climate, growing conditions and soil, can be saved and preserved for years to come. Growing many different plants in the garden promotes biodiversity, which is great for the environment, plus preserves genetic diversity of plants which is crucial for long-term food security. Saving your own seeds also allows you to select for traits that are important to you such as flavor, yield, and disease resistance that is tailored to your needs and preferences.
